It all started with a busted rod, a stubborn streak, and a deep love for the water. I wasn’t planning on becoming a rod builder—but after one too many off-the-shelf rods let me down, I figured, “Why not build one that actually fits the way I fish?” What began as a DIY fix turned into an obsession with balance, feel, and craftsmanship.

Before long, friends were asking for custom builds. Then friends of friends. And somewhere between epoxy fumes and late-night wrapping sessions, Dilly Rods was born—a brand that’s as much about personality as it is performance.

I wanted to create rods that felt personal. That told a story. That made people smile when they held them. Whether it’s a slick saltwater setup or a rod wrapped in wild colors with a dill pickle mascot, every build is a little piece of who I am—and who you are on the water.
